These scholarships are funded by the Rhodes Trust, Oxford, which was established by the Will of Cecil John Rhodes. Cecil Rhodes, a British emigrant to South Africa, devoted energy to the expansion of British imperialist interests in Southern Africa. These scholarships are designed for the purpose of educating the future leaders of the world.
Applicants must:
*Note: The age requirement for candidates undertaking a MB,ChB course of study, and pre-registration year will be extended one year. Therefore they should have passed their nineteenth and not passed their twenty-sixth birthday by 1 October in the year for which they were elected.
A stipend of £12,200 sterling per year. Fees are paid directly by the Trust to the College and University. Three scholars are elected each year.

New Zealand Rhodes Scholars Association (Inc)
Membership of the NZ Rhodes Scholars Association is open to all those who have been Rhodes Scholars, or Rhodes Visiting Fellows, from New Zealand, and other Rhodes Scholars living in New Zealand. The main purposes of the Association are:
